What is SECR?
Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) is a new UK government carbon reporting scheme that has made it mandatory for 11,000 British Businesses to report their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and any energy efficiency measures they have taken.
Are you one of these 11,000 businesses? See our checklist below. Failing to comply can lead to fines, in some cases up to £50,000.
Reported information is publicly visible and available on Companies House, so it’s important to get it right and take expert advice.
But don’t panic! We’ve been helping affected businesses for many years now. We make it easy, fast and cost-effective to comply.
What needs to be reported?

Scope 2 emissions (indirect emissions)
Scope 3 emissions (other indirect emissions)
